Air Canada said in a written response to Mr. Beddoe's comments yesterday: "This lawsuit is about WestJet committing corporate espionage on a massive scale. Former WestJet executive, Mark Hill, previously admitted that he surreptitiously accessed Air Canada's confidential employee website almost a quarter of a million times over a 12-month period. Recent documents received from WestJet reveal that Mr. Beddoe and other executives had full knowledge of the improper access and use of Air Canada's proprietary information. Air Canada's lawsuit meets our obligation to stakeholders to protect the company's competitive position."

I admire WestJet...but love AirCanada (just because). I am finding hard to believe that access to the passengers loads almost a 1/4 of a million times is in anyway 'protecting the share holders interests'.

AC has far too long been running a loose ship.

WJ’s stock is down again so maybe alleged corporate espionage doesn’t pay…

acb4u, I admire your tenacity in highlighting WJ's continuing troubles. Rest assured, when you see me going through the terminal smiling and looking happy with the rest of my crew, I'm actually really really upset and p**sed off with the world. Your posts are working!!

Cheers

This issue isn't about you. It's too bad it influences your bottom line.

True enough. My schedule is good, I like the plane and company, and employment in this industry is an achievement enough, I suppose.
By the way, I have proposed making December "Hug an Air Canada employee Month" here at Westjet. No bites, but I'll keep trying.

Cheers

Hey man easy, I would think you would say the same...the last three airlines I worked at aren't around anymore, so I guess my perspective is a little grander in scope perhaps than yours. Quite frankly I needed the quick upgrade that Westjet offered. After Canada 3000 failed, I gave aviation one last shot. So yes, I am grateful for the employment, to say the least. The fact that this is the second day off of 17 doesn't hurt...

Cheers
