Hi Folks,

Can anyone help with regard to info on validating a JAA(UK) class 1 medical in Australia (class 2 will do)? I have an Aussie licence and want to do a bit of S/E flying when I visit later this year. Unfortunately, validating my UK license won't work as I don't have S/E on it. Just hoping that I don't have to get an Aussie medical for just two flights.

Thanks for any help,

Chips

It's easy if you're in Sydney, contact
Dr T M ENGLISH
Suite 5, Level 5
3 Spring Street
SYDNEY NSW 2000
Ph: 02 9241 2148
Fax: 02 9241 5925

If you're not, try UK CAA medical (http://www.caa.co.uk/srg/med/ame/amesearch.asp) for another doctor.

Thanks Red but I'm destined for the other side of the wide brown land :)

I know about the option of doing it in the UK at the same time as the JAA one but as my JAA medical hasn't expired yet, I thought it might be able to do it in Oz for less expense. (Just being a bit cheap and hate going to the doctors :uhoh: )

Thanks for the link though as it might come down to that.

Cheers,

Chips
