The Airways Museum, located at Essendon Airport, Melbourne, is holding its annual Open Day on Sunday, November 21st. The Museum will be open from 10 am to 4 pm.
The theme of this year's Open Day is 'The History of Air Traffic Control in Australia'. There will be an illustrated talk on this subject followed by a discussion panel of retired controllers starting at 2 pm.
Films from the archives will be shown earlier in the day.
On display will be the Museum's new replica 1940s Airway Traffic Computer, or 'Rodoniscope', and a newly-restored 1950s Flight Progress Board.
