One day, i was 'cleaning' my computer with hyjack this. I have done this on more than a dozen occasions, deleting anything related to what appeared to be advertising material.

Since the last time i conducted a 'hyjackthis raid' and if you look closely at the pic, you will see my I.E. has no bottom border. I have reset everything and is beyond the scope of system restore as this occured more than 2 weeks ago. This isn't covered by my ISP's service levels.

It is annoying not having that bar as it gives me a handy clue as to the nature of a link I'm about to click on and having no progress-bar leaves me with a 'flying blind' feeling.
:(

How do I get my bar back?

Looks to me as if you have 'stretched' your Windows bottom bar too high, as you are also missing the lower links at the bottom of the pprune page. Try resizing the windows bar?

Open IE, go to VIEW -> STATUS BAR. That should hopefully do it.

Top work. Problem solved.

Now why wouldn't an ISP support something so simple on an up-to-date machine?

Thanks.

The little  monkeys in their call centres read off a script. Independent thought is not allowed.

Good to hear it's working again anyway.
