I read that Flybe will be getting 737-300s soon (possibly up to 7?) and flying them out of Birmingham to Palma, Alicante, Murcia, Malaga and other sunny destinations.

Has anyone heard any other details on possible delivery dates, etc.? This is great news for the Flybe pilots out there tired of the Quad-Jet... Probably picking up some of the older GO jets.

Any additional details would be appreciated...

Don't get to excited, the 737's will be damp leased from an un-named company, so will have flybe cabin crew but not flybe pilots. This is so the company can gain operational experience with a larger type for minimal risk. All going well the company will more than liker order larger aircraft, airbus seems to be the favourite.

Heard last week that Astraeus have got the nod for the damp lease of the first 737's.
