Just phoned those lovely people at the CAA to move the date of my medical and was told that I'd get £85 back as the no longer carry out ECG's. So its now £337 for the full shebang.

So all those starting out, the class 1 medical no longer costs an arms and a leg, merely an arm and everything from the knee down :)

It's the EEG that has been removed.

There is a thread in the medical forum about it.

The EEG? Was that the bit with the really gorgeous nurse, and the flashing lights that send you to sleep? That's a pity - was the most fun part of the whole medical!

Oops . . . look at me getting my abbreviations mixed up, how un PC. I am such a silly SoB . . LMAO, I can only apologise for the typing error on my IBM PC. I must get my finger out of my behind PDQ or I will definetly fail my PPL, CPL and APTL and the CFI will be on my case. I hopefully will learn all new abbraviations from my CD-ROM's so this doesn't happen in future.

Anyone know where I left my REM and ELO CD's.
