What do they actually do to you in the examination and how long does it take?
Anywhere I can find a list of what they do to ya?(and the requirements)

I want to go thru as much as I can with my GP b4 going in instead of potentially blowing a couple of hundred euro over something minor...

It's probably been asked b4...sorry, i'm just a bit lazy 2day...

I went through it last summer. Among other things:

eye test including colour blindness
chest Xray (unless you can provide them with recent one)
peak flow - blow into tube to test lung capacity
blood test, cholesterol, heamoglobin
ECG
hearing test
brain monitoring with flashing lights to check no epilepsy

may have been a bit more, check with CAA or local Doctor who does renewals of medicals.

Hope this helps.

Erm...the CAA's own website maybe!? ;)

All the tests and requirements are there.

Best of luck,

V1R :ok:

Pipergirl,

You also have to read an article from a newspaper without swearing (much).

Hope this helps :)

Some of you may be pleased to know that the test for epilepsy which involves flashing lights and electrodes on the head has now been omitted from the class 1 medical.

Believe it or not the cost is nearly £100 less as a result.
