Do flyglobespan operate under their own AOC, or is the operation still undertaken by channex?

They have their own AOC, with 2 aircraft based at GLA.

I always thought they had some link with Cougar too?

The link with Cougar is that FlyGlobespan aquired Cougars AOC (unsure of legal term!) for themselves as Cougar no longer needed it after May 2003 as they became a defunkd Airline around 17/05/03 pax operations ceased in Oct 02. Quite a few old Cougar/Sabre people now work for FlyGlobespan and up until the end of this year operations and other departments have been based in the old offices of both Cougar and Sabre in Bishops Stortford, Herts. FlyGlobespans main offices are in Edinburgh. FlyGlobespan is a privately owned Airline who are currently going from strength to strength and have their own AOC, Crew, a/c etc with more a/c to arrive next year. Channex carry out work for them from EDI over the summer months. For more information on FlyGlobespan and Globespan see the other posting on this forum or visit their websites.
