Hi Guys,
Just wondering how many ex B747 (or even ex B727) Flight Engineers are about, and in what parts of the world.
Since the profession is sadly fading away as the Classics are retired from service, and are consequently getting cheaper to buy, allowing some of the more 'secondary' airlines to get into operating them!
Conditions and salary packages are also taking a beating!
I'm ex B727 and B747, and am often wondering how other guys/gals are fairing?
Unfortunately I am no longer flying, but remain in the aircraft industry, using all my experience in other ways. It's not quite as much fun, but it will certainly get me through.
Beats selling cars!
Cheers,
FD :cool: :{
