They are showing some repeats of The Flying Gardener on BBC2 in the afternoons at the moment, where the presenter gets to bomb around the UK in the front of an A109 on the pretext of gardening around the country...

It looks like top fun to me, and it is altogether a very watchable programme, not least due to the fantastic camera work and shots of the 109.

So my questions is... did any of you Rotorheads fly him? Was it as much fun as it looks, and just how much flying went into the couple of minutes shown per episode?

Just wondered...

Great filming!

The team were based at the airfield when they were filming beside us for a couple of days. Mike-Melric Smith was pilot, very skilled and a bloody nice bloke! Was fun watching them bomb around for the weekend, shame a robbie can't do soem of the things the 109 could :D :D :D

I know this is very sad, but Mike Malric-Smith has his own fan club of sorts here:-
