dear friends,
i am a commercial pilot and i undergo my medicals reguarly at the approved medical center in india.
i want to know that this time i went for my medicals the eye specialist told me that my colour vision is slightly low. i am able to read the numbers in the colour dotted book but after my this medical i am too much worried of my colour vision.
kindly tell me the required colour perseption required for the issue of atpl according to icao.

I would suggest popping along to your local optician before going to the CAA? get the requirements for colour vision from CAA medical and compare results.

What is more serious is colour-deafness.

"blah blah blah Green..."
"what was that? blue?"

if you look on the medical and health forum, there is a long discussion on this topic, if you pass the Ishihara tests( numbers in the dots) then this is enough for most medicals. In Europe the regulations are quite strict, if you fail the ishihara test you can take a lantern test or other depnding on the certifying authority.
other countries (USA, Australia) have far more sensible and practicle tests for those who fail the ishihara test.
Not sure about India, if the certification is based on British/EU regulations and you cannot pass the Ishihara test you might be better off getting an Australian medical certification.
