Is it true that when flying with one of the EK B777 Fos, captains have a chance of getting two months in the sin bin????
If the details of the rumour are true....... (and I will not state them here as I think it is still ongoing!) it would be a sad day indeed.
Hope your new boss does something to stamp out this kind of reporting culture, before the rot sets in.

What do you mean by reporting culture???Do you mean you want to people to cover up mistakes,errors etc > Now that sounds like a good idea.....not...

If the guy was suspended for doing something wrong then the FOQA would have picked something up, and he thought he would get away with it, so if the F/o reported it then good on him I would too. Keeps your arse out of the flames..

Think you need to calm down mate. This incident has nothing to do with the issues you mention, and as its still ongoing...not very fair to be aired in public forums.
I too hope someting is put in place to stop this happening again. And I do not have any problem with someone reporting on safety issues.

It's a rumour network after all. The post is perfectly valid.

If there was any truth to it, I would hope any F/O would have the common courtesy to let the Captain know beforehand that he is going to report him.

if he didn't, he deserves all that might be coming his way. :D

Looks like the EK fellas need a bit of good news after allowance and pay cuts...and here it is.
The said Captain is now about to return back to the line, after it took the company over 2.5 MONTHS to prove that all parts of said report were no less than lies!!!!!!
Wishing this fella all the best, as he must have been through hell.

Well I am sorry to say its happened again. And even on the same fleet. Only this time, after the months removed from roster, the Capt is to be demoted to FO. And to think it had nothing to do with the ASR the guy submitted!!!!!

No matter what you think about DECs, I think this is a pretty bad precident to have been set.

Do many of the FOs in EK still refer to themselves by their ex-military rank? The cockpit gradient on this flight must have made the whole flight just a ball of fun!!!!!
