Has anyone heard that BHX will be getting its second Dubai service with Emirates from the spring? Should be announced at the forthcoming business travel show at the NEC
Getting in before Gulf Air in April??

Daza,

Wasn't this announced earlier this year, or was it just rumoured? Apparently, they didn't have the aircraft ready, but presumably they do now? Emirates are not listed as an exhibitor to the business travel show, but Etihad are. Would they be ready for UK regional expansion yet?

Extra 5 flights a week to CDG from March 2005, then double daily from March 2006.

I guess they might go for 2 x A330's a day rather than 2 x 777's then?

Surely the 777 has more seating?

The original Emirates plan was a double daily service flown by A330's. However, once they had obtained additional slots into Hearthrow, the A330 which was to be used for the second daily flight into Brum was pinched to begin an additional flight into LHR. Due to this, Birminghams once daily flight was upgraded to a B777-200 aircraft. Should they begin a second flight, both flights will be operated by an A330 (both configured for 'high density' I think!)

What do you mean by 'High Density'?

You can't really call a change from 330 to 777 an "upgrade" as all the 777's look tatty in the cabin compared to the 'buses
High density is a 2-class layout, whereas low density is 3-class, so more seats available with "high density"
