Second low cost carrier for Shannon
FOR the second time in a week, a low-fares carrier has announced it is to begin scheduled services from Shannon airport.
Following Easy Jet's decision to establish a daily service to Gatwick, German carrier Hapag Llyod Express (HLX) yesterday said it is to fly scheduled services to Cologne and Bonn in March next year.
Airport director Martin Moroney said: "We are delighted to have secured another low-cost carrier. This route will provide a welcome boost to the west of Ireland's tourism sector."
