Hi all

Just going through all the paperwork for the final interview, in particular all the log-book photocopying.

The letter says you are to provide copies of the last 6 months flying entries to be endorsed by your current employer.

What do you think is meant by this? Somehow I don't think my current employer is going to have the time (or the inclination) to go through and confirm my lasr 6 months flying with them. I'm assuming a covering letter from our rostering people stating that I've been working for them for x amount of years should do it?

What has everyone else done for this???

Also, the letter also states to fill out a particular medical form (Form 320), but there is another 2 identical (apart from colour) forms included that appear to be used during the medical itself. Are you ment to do anything with those?

Silly questions I know, but just don't want to make a monkey of myself by appearing not to be able to follow simple (or otherwise) instructions

Cheers

TTD,

I thought the same thing about the medical forms. I waited till I was doing the medical and asked the doctor. She said to fill out as much as i could. And you do fill out both.

As far as the logbook goes. I asked Monika the same thing. She understands that most employers would not even know you are going for interviews and therefore would not sign the logbook. She told me to wait until I was successful, then get it signed after I have resigned. It only has to be done before you start.

Make sure you have it really organised...the log book hours part. She said some people turn up with a coles shopping bag full of A4 photocopies. It doesn't take much to sort it out for them and put it in a plastic wallet thingy. It also makes it faster for them to process.

Good luck, and PM me if you need anything else.

Hey WP

Thanx for that, my employer knows about the interview but I just don't think they could be bothered by it. After all, how does it help them?

Man, all the photocopies, good thing I have access to a free one:ok:

I guess you got through did you?

Cheers

Yes, I got through in June, due to start 25 th Oct in Adelaide.

Paperwork drove me crazy as well. I reckon it must be part of the interview process.

I had it all seperated out into sections. Even though it meant a lot of doubling up on photocopying, Monika told me later it makes it much easier for them when they have to sort through it.

PM me your email and i'll forward you my Q's I was asked.

do you not think that it would be good for all of us who will also attend interviews to benefit from your experience instead of PMing it?

Good posts guys keep them going.

With regard to systems questions, is it normal practice to be asked questions about your current type or as well as just generic. The reason I ask is that I see questions on air systems, fuel etc for the B747.
I have never flown the B747 so I should not expect systems questions on it, right?
Good luck to all those that have applied.
Safe flying
