Does anyone know which US aircraft are coming to Amberley? Are the T'birds coming as they were going to in 2001?

The website simply states "Allied Nations Aircraft will be displayed".

Well, you know it won't be the RNZAF... they don't have any!

I think they were going to come, but Scott and Virgil baulked at having to operate in our airspace until the NAS situation was resolved.
They also have some noise abatement issues to sort out, I believe.

I was told yesterday that no "foreign" aircraft would be involved.

Anyone else know anything different?

BTW, saw the Thunderbirds in 1988 as well. flying display was brilliant, but the marching out and saluting crap was a bit of a wank.

DP is correct
THERE WILL ONLY BE ADF AIRCRAFT AND WARBIRDS AT THE OPEN DAY! All the worlds airforces are to busy to attend. The flying part of the day is from 12.00 to 1600ish. It is a full program, but only Aussie aircraft. From opening time to 12.00 there will be plenty to see but no handling displays until 12.
