how come it mentions all there other routes on sale, but it doesn't list their new Paris flight?????? Are they thinking this one over re how they work against bmi (and if they should) or has that just been missed off????

Probably just missed off currently. The ad hoc announcement of the Ibiza service was not posted on the website for several days. Previous occasions of new periods being put up for sale were staggered over several hours or days as well.

We could hope they are holding out for better slots to CDG to go twice daily similar to AMS.

Loads on CDG have been reported to be around the 100 mark and higher on peak weekends, which on a par with AMS.

Combined with passing 1 million passengers and significant growth at LBA for next year it's been a busy week for Jet2.

Does this mean extra aircraft will be added to the fleet. Are any more new routes been thought of or considered.

just one or two snippets i've pick up over the last few days..

Dart are short of pointy end drivers which is one of the reasons why the LBA expansion is not covering more new destinations. If crews become avaliable then more destinations may come online...Jet2 are well aware of what needs/can be done out of LBA, plus what is happening elseware.....

the early release of the program for So5 seems to be for the following:

1. the lack of crews mean LS needs to concentrate on core "bank account filling" routes...ie Spain,...keep the risk low...
2. flood the Spanish market with frequency/cheap seats before TOM get going out of Donny...
3. make sure the concrete is full at LBA and there is no spare capacity on the "bread and butter" routes to Spain for A N OTHER carrier to exploit...(of course subject to the laying of new concrete?)
4. get the Leeds So5 PR out of the way before the next big press release...
5. relating to the above and also maximising crews for the next base airport (somewhere near the M56)...

Lets wait and see hiw true it all is....it is all logical...so it could all be very interesting shortly...

Some bits more logical than others. Yes, increasing frequency on the core spanish routes does create a barrier to entry for any other loco operator that might be considering a move into Leeds.

The apron thing is a bit of a red herring. The summer schedule for Jet2 doesn't fill the apron - it's full right now. If anyone wants to put more nightstopping aircraft in, including Jet2, more concrete will be required.

The reason why new routes have yet to be announced out of Leeds, or anywhere else, has more do with slot issues than crewing.
