Anyone from Excel lurking..?

Phreegreens Jnr. is stuck in Rhodes as an early Sunday morning flight to LGW has been canned, info is non-available locally, just being told at least a 24 hour delay. MAN flight also delayed.

MAN website shows that flight pencilled for a 01:00/Mon arrival but BAA's site and teletext shows nowt on the LGW flight.

Any insider info appreciated.. :ok:

Caused by no Air Atlanta Cpt's! The full MAN - RHO crew got stood down & sent home last night because there was no A.A Cpt, apparantly the same happened in LGW!!

The same thing did happen at LGW - no captain. On teletext the lgw flights is now showing expected at 0435 monday. Initially a night Kos flight also had no flight deck at all. Don't know what happened to that.

Haven't Air Atlanta/Excel got a ATA B757-300 currently sat at LGW on standby or was this just used to bring home PAX from Orlando after the various hurricanes.

It was still parked up yesterday morning

I was checking in a flight to LCA earlier at MAN. Scheduled departure time 10.30, actual will be 2000. What is going on with Excel today?

The delayed LCA is a 767-200 flight, but MANs 762 is currently tech. The 762 flight to KGS last night had to split, with 189 pax put on a 738 and the rest left behind in MAN.

Aha! I was told to tell the pax that the aircraft was stuck in the Caribbean because of Ivan. Thought that was a bit fishy coz the -300 does the POP flights. NM

I think MANs 762 is actually tech in Porlamar, where it was covering for the 763!

good to see the staff advising the whole world reasons for the delays?
If I advised customers reasons like above doubt I would have a job to walk into next day

interesting point rmo 757..

so what would you have told your customers...?

my main point is the staff of the airline in question advising the whole world
In certain companys it would not go down to well when staff are advising a web site read by 1000's ... what do you think?
