Why isn't there one? Ground is pretty busy these days and it's going to get busier. Can't be too dificult to get another frequency so that the BA crews don't stop all ground movements for a minute and a half while they are repeatedly being asked for their PAPAR crossing height because they havn't bothered to read their departure plates properly!

Hey Dan, read your posts in the past and respected your opinions. Don't get phased about the DXB del freq, it has been a case for a long time that 118.35 should be del and 118.85 ground. Not to mention competence, generally DXB is well controlled, but when reading out the full clearance reqts incl the ATIS code and be told the QNH in the read back which we just copied on the ATIS; along with eg clnce eg PAPAR XX and TOLD TO CLIMB to 3000' ( WHICH IS THE PAPAR XX SID ) GETS ANNOYING ONLY TOO OFTEN, they are learning bless em. Give it a decade with the forcast growth in DXB, they will realise that now they are only playing small airport and will need to get a lot slicker (especially with departure take-offs) to get the airport flowing properly. EG EHAM take off and the guy ahead of you is only barely airborne, or CPH and landing as the chappie ahead of you barely makes it off the high speed turn with 10 behind you. Lets wait and see!!

Happy AV8ing, remember there is humour in the region, proof, look for point RAGED south of Baghdad Intl on the Saudi border. is BAghdad intl ending in BI Bagdad or Bush International?
