Surprised that this has not hit PPRuNe yet, or have I missed it? I do hope that their airships, generalships etc ARE upset. They should know that most in the military are cynical by nature, they should not have lied to us about "rebalancing", a cut is a cut and that is all there is to it. I hope they never find I M Promoted, good luck to him or her, what he says is spot on and only the gullible would believe otherwise.:ok:

Roland,

You missed the originals:

But you're new with the news about it being in the Times. Would appear that Mr Hoon's cunning plan to convince the press that all is sweetness and light and that he carries with him the armed forces has backfired.....

Could not possibly say where that e-mail circulated from, honest......better delete my inbox at work and all my files before the RAFP come knocking at my door...stiff **** it is true!

Given the competence of the MoD, I'd only be worried if you were an SO2 named I M Promoted!

And, as I've said before, if "they" find the culprit, what will "they" do? The Regulation of Investigatory Powers 200 act applies, and there is no way on earth that authorisation would be granted to gather admissibile evidence - even if certain agencies can possibly work out what machine is posting where! Furthermore, HRA 98 gives us rights to freedom of expression and privacy of correspondence...I've bleated on about this enough on other threads so the only thing I'll add is that I'm too late in my career to care less!
