Hey all,

Is it true, alitalia are starting operations from BHX from April, on amadeus they are showing flights to MXP.

Is this scheduled and will there be an official announcement shortly????

Cheers All

Once daily departure from BHX @ 1630L, A319 a/c.

Will this work? Offers very little opportunity for a business working day.

Has it been spurred on by the assuming success of the new AZ MAN flights? Incidentally, does anyone know how the MXP-MAN flights are performing?

Surely a twice daily ER4/E70 MXP-BHX operation would be more beneficial to all concerned?

Regards

AZ have held these slots for the past XX years and they have always let them go at handback time.

So don't bet on it this time!

LIke most other flights out of Manchester at the moment the AZ flights have been nothing short of a revelation....with extra flights being added !

Everybody up here thought two a day was a tad optimistic but they are all full.... although what will happen in Winter is anybodys guess.

Just seen a posting on another list who says that no flights are bookable 'direct' with AZ from BHX/MXP.

Interestingly there are flights showing in the Amadeus timetable, but there is a big difference between the timetable display and the airlines own system - I know this from experience. I can well remember when Amadeus showed BA flighst MAN/SVO a few years ago, but these never came to fruition.

Time will tell.
