Is it a good idea to drop in whilst in HK?

I'm heading off to HK soon to catch up with some Cathay buddies and they are strongly suggesting I drop into CX & Dragon HQ.For those of you in the know,is this stretching the friendship a little,or is it seen as good initiative?

Definatley drop in, it worked for me. I had an interview in 2000 (1st round) and missed out. Visited HK in Feb this year, a week after getting back to OZ i had an interview offer. 2nd interview 5 weeks later. Start in October.

I honestly reckon if I hadn't have gone there and seen them face to face I wouldn't have had a chance for another go.
