UK-based Tour Operator, Kosmar, which specialises in holidays to Greece have announced that Astraeus and Excel Airways are to base Boeing 737s in summer 2005 to operate its massive Greek destination expansion plan from Nottingham East Midlands Airport.

The aircraft will be based all week and will operate flights to Chania, Heraklion, Kalamata, Skiathos/Volos, Kos, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Corfu.

The aircraft will also be used to operate flights for other operators such as Palma on Saturdays for Libra Holidays.

This is EXACTLY the sort of business that Leeds Bradford could do with to buck the trend in its dismal charter business. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, have a look at the thread entitled "Greek Summer Programme From LBA". Especially Kosmar employees/managers/directors.

Astraeus and Excel are no strangers to LBA, so pay attention ladies and gents !

Simon, a thousand apologies for hijacking your thread and congratulations to East Midlands for securing this business. I'll now hand it back to you. :ok:

My understanding is that Islandsflug are already operating part-time on a B733 for Kosmar this summer and that Kosmar where going to use them full time in summer 05 on a B734????

Maybe wrong but thought Kosmar and Excel had a falling out ?

Surely if enough people wanted to fly LBA-Greece, then the flights would be available...seeing as "no" flights are there, then LBA cant do that kind of market
