Using large quantities of tranquiliser (chardonnay) and the Utterly Butterly Girls as distraction, this dangerous creature was finally cornered in the VIP tent at Jurby.

Sorry to be a little stiff, but i'm not sure that this is not in the spirit of detachment rules! People can get in a lot of s**t with the publication of photos(wives, girlfriends, bosses etc etc)

well, its a picture of a teddy bear. Could actually be any teddy bear, merely purporting to be Terrence. No mention of who he was there with, or how he got there. He was in the tent at the behest of the organisers, conversing with the good and the great. At least one Airship present, as well as the Rutan brothers of Scaled Composites and Voyager fame.

The picture with the Utterly Butterly girls is yours truly, and I am not in trouble with either my wife or girlfriend. In fact, I have told Mrs Standto that if either of them ring me, I'm off with the circus.

If any of the Bear's relatives are actually offended, please let me know and I'll pull the post.

One of the first bits of advice I was given when I joined civil aviation was the three things you never take away on trips, detachment etc.,

It was a sqn that is now at Waddo but at the time, they were still flying the 1000000 rivets in close formation at Lossie. The guilty crew were not on duty when the girlies pitched up mid-week but the on duty crew looked after them and made sure they were never seen in Scotland again.

I seen the BBC press release that confirms he went into space, awesome. I thought I might be a little jealous after seeing him in Jurby with the Utterly Butterly girls, I'm green with envy now Bert Rutan has been so kind by letting him ride in his spaceship. During his trip state-side, he was taken to the Reno Air Races were, yes you guessed, he got ANOTHER fantastic flight. I cant wait to see the logbook when the Great North Air Ambulance eventually put this "World Famous" astronautical bear up for auction.

Whoever buys him, please keep posting the pictures, and look after him. He likes a drink or two, pretty girls and fast machines.
