Anyone know much about Orient Thai? I know they operate 747 100/200s and have operated 757s I believe. Is it true that it will serve Europe soon?

Any details on terms and conditions for newhire 747 FOs? Do you need to be typed on the 747? Any impressions from Orient Thai pilots out there - positives and negatives?

Cheers

I hear they are in need of people and it really helps if you are type rated. For those of you living in Thailand, the best way is to stop by their office and talk to them face to face.

hello,

Regarding Orient Thai, their website indicates that one must be a Thai national to be considered for pilot position.

Are there any expats with this company?

Non-Thai nationals without a type rating can NOT be considered. Thai DGCA requires a type rating on original licence for issuance of a Thai licence.

Thai law states that they have to ask for nationals first and then look for foreigners. Yes there are lots of foreigners at Orient Thai and most likely will continue to be that way until they can find enough qualified Thai applicants.
