Was searching the 'net this evening, to see whether such a thing as a PC airband radio card exists.

All I found was http://www.winradio.co.uk/ which offers professional/surveillance units priced at £thousands.

Anyone know of a £cheap card that receives UK airband?

Depending on whether you have a license and are using it to perform your job it may or may not be legal.

Allegedly...
If you have a scanner you can connect this from the headphone socket to your line-in on your soundcard to decode ACARS etc.

What do you need it for?

Depending on whether you have a license ... may or may not be legalI'm a PPL(H) and ideally want a cheap card covering airband frequencies for recreational / flight planning usage, so would be as legal as all other PPL owned airband scanners.
