Just trying to find out some information from an engineers point of view regarding maintaining the EMB-120 and the PW-118A engine.

What would the typical Overhaul cost be for the -118A?

What is the normal TBO for the -118A?

What would the typical Overhaul cost be for the Hamilton Standard 14RF-9 props and are there and AD's on them?

What would the the typical overhaul cost be for the prop?

What are the main faults (both aircraft and engine)that seem to reoccur?

Any other comments and information is would be great.

Thanks

118A engines are overhauled 8000 hourly hard time.

If you trend monitor them you'll get 'soft-time', that means an overhaul after 12000 hours only if it needs a shop visit as determined by trends/chip detector fuzz.

Props are 9000 hour overhauls, however, because blades get swapped with monotonous regularity this simply means a hub/actuator change.

Airframe? Get to know your ground cooling fan for the aircon packs; and you'll get plenty of experience changing deicer boots.

Dont know costs, never owned the cheque book.
