Can anyone tell me when Etihad was "crowned" the official airline of the UAE...I thought Emirates was

I think its some thing to do with the Emirates that make up the UAE. The UAE is made up of several emirates which include Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and a few more.
Emirates is the airline of the Dubai emirate where as Etihad is the airline of Abu Dhabi emirate.

Etihad was "crowned" the National Airline of the UAE by its advertising team....
.... the same people who crowned Emirates as "the International Airline of the UAE".
