Interesting to read in this week’s Av Week that the U.S. Army is planning to use a ‘missile-like projectile’ (which looks like a mini-MOAB) dropped from UAVs to deliver medical supplies and such like to ground personnel, including downed pilots and heavily-engaged forces.
Brings a whole new meaning to ‘friendly fire.’ I have a horrible image of wounded flyers hobbling on broken legs to flee the incoming 'projectile.' One presumes the boffins will figure out a way to give advanced warning of its intent ?
