Was hoping for some advice from those of you whom have been there and done that!!!

Currently employed at a flight training school in Victoria, enjoying it very much but the time is fast approaching to spread my wings and start looking for that other job. Thinking about doing a stint up North or in WA, and looking to leave later next year once i have gained a little more experience. At the moment have 315tt includes twin training and some command.

Wanted Some advice on the sort of hours the operators will look for when applying for Twin CHTR work, whether they will even bother looking at someone who has gained most of their experience in Regional Victoria, and what sort of moves to make to ensure work is actually at hand so that when i leave this current job i wont be left with nothing?

And finally wanted to know where to start looking?

Anyone who can give me some guidance on this, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

You face a coupla problems:

Firstly, a pure "twin" operation is gonna probably want 1000-1500hrs and a bit (100-500hrs) of twin time, in a decent twin (ie c310, b58, pa31, c400 series, not a duchess). So with the time frame you have in mind, not really gonna happen.

Problem 2, you may find an operator who has both twins and singles who will give you a go (this is your best bet), however don't expect to fly the twins for a while.

With your sorta time I'd be looking at getting a single job first, and worry about the twin a little later.

Another thing, try doing a search on this topic, you'd be amazed what you find...
:ok:
