So, its true. The US Navy are going to replace the P3 (Adapted 4 engine Turbo Prop Airliner), with the Boeing MMA, a brand new adapted Twin Turbo Fan Airliner. Whilst the the RAF are still trying to adapt an old adapted airliner, just because its got four engines. Pity their Airships didn't go down a similar path and get a few A320s to replace the Nimrod. Just think, pilots will leave the service with time on a current airline type. What is more, they will easily be able to go back and fly it as Reserves because they will be still be current on it. Come to think about it. Perhaps their Airships think this will happen any way, after all, they still seem to be living in the past, fighting the Cold War, Still wasting money on TypHoon. Surely Dan Air still have a few Comets?;) ;)
