Hope someone can help me track down Mid West Engines Ltd.

They manufactured a Wankel Rotary engine in conjunction with Birmingham University whilst based at Staverton Airfield - they then moved to Gamston Airport - and I am reliably informed by a guy in engineering at the PFA that they are now in Austria.

If anyone can provide me with information on how I can contact these guys I would be most grateful.

Many Thanks - Trevor

phone: +44 1452 857 456,

I know you say they've moved but it might be worth trying the numbers and seeing if someone there can redirect you.

I've Tried the numbers - not available anymore, and no-one there can help.

I Searched on Yell.com and got hold of their "New" number at Gamston Airport, but same story.

Called the PFA and all I could find out from them was that they "think" they moved their operation to Austria - hence my request here.

MidWest is now part of Diamond Aircraft, Austria.
I think they are called Diamond Aircraft Engines, the 100 hp wankel was planned as an alternative powerplant for the Katana, but this has now low priority at Diamond, as the Da 42 twin engine aircraft takes all the engineering power.

Anyway Diamond in Wiener Neustadt, Austria will help you further.
