Culdrose Airday

Very surprised not to see anything from prooners about Culdrose Airday. For me, it was certainly as good as last year. The highlight was surely the Chinook?!

If your idea of a good airshow is thick sea fog on the deck all day you must be a number collector, for the only happy people at Culdrose were the regie hunters.

Even the Chinook was at best a gesture, and as for the Jetstream taxi past: Would have looked more impressive with big bass speakers, neon lights and alloy wheels!

Half decent drinkie session in the Wardroom wednesday though, would like to be there tomorrow to drool over the lead singer again.

The Chinook I saw was through the roof of the Wardroom tent, on its side, depositing maps and stuff whilst women and children ran for cover. That's what I call a highlight. Wings probably saw it differently though.

thought the fire truck 'flypast' was particularly impressive, especially the slow formation return back down r/w 30!

also heard the chinook may have lost a bit more than a few maps! :mad:

roll on next year - 1 year out of 3 would be good...
