Heard today that Aer Arann are recruiting again for First Officers. Has anyone been called up?. Heard a bucket load of Jerez graduates have been called for interview next week. Any info?

There is no doubt they are recruiting. A guy I trained with who now works for them told me today that they are interviewing next week. They have taken a lot of contract pilots on lately but they are recruiting for permanent first officers again.

alright, but do u have to pay for your type rating?
why some guys are sponsored and a guy like me who have 5 times more experience should pay for my type, where is the catch?

Skyman- I am afraid that in this country and most others no matter what level of experience you have one still has to "jump through hoops". Aer Arran are a multi-crew op and you will need your MCC first anyway! Your experience must be single pilot ops?

Glad to hear they are recruiting.
The ATR is a great Aircraft. I have re-sent my details to them (probably along with everyone else!)
