There is a report in today's Bristol Evening Post saying easyJet is to commence a daily service to Rome from 31 October and to Geneva from 15 December.
The report quotes Tony Hallwood, the airport's aviation development director.
I can find nothing about this on the easyJet or Bristol Airport websites.
Rome was one of Go's routes from BRS in its first summer and one of the few that was not continued (Ibiza was the other).
However, the Rome service was only scheduled to operate from mid July until mid September that first year, hardly enough time to consolidate it perhaps.
The GVA destination is not surprising given BRS's very strong ski market with 14 weekly ski flights last winter and the winter before that. This coming winter has already been described by the airport as the strongest ski winter yet, so the arrival of easy to GVA would boost that even further.
