Hi guys,

Can you please give me some advice on cattle mustering. How many hours would I typicallly log each year on a station and is it a good job for your first job and how much would it pay on avarage a week.

Gday fly kevin.

Amount of flying will greatly vary on whether you are flying for a private station or part of a large pastoral company.

Hours per year will range from around 300-1300hrs per year. This is not uncommon as it is a private operation with no Flight and Duty limitations.

Pay will be reasonable, around $500 clear aweek, as their is typically no living expenses except grog, and if you drink at the Barkley roadhouse it will certainly cost you :ok:

I suggest you read the "mustering; post in D&G GA.

Is a hell of a first job, I would go and do it all again.

As long as you dont mind flying a busted ass 172d with bull horns and western star truck logos painted on it.
