I was after some info on cost of living in Sinapore. IE. Tax rates. rental prices, road transport costs, that sort of thing. Any info appreciated.

"if ya gotta ask you can't afford it" principle is true here. You may get a shock at things like car prices etc.
Depends what sort of hours/days you work, consider living in JB. It means commuting but the rest is at a real price. Lots more golf courses too.

Except that you won't be allowed to live in JB! That is unless you're Malaysian or have a work permit to work in Malaysia. Not to mention the fact that the Singaporeans will charge you $30 a day to drive a non-Singaporean car on their roads.
Try around SGD100,000 for a new Mini!
