View Full Version : XP Taskbar Stuck

Taskbar, in a moment of computer frenzy, ended up on the side of the screen as it does now and then. .....Having dragged it back down to the bottom in the recognised way it now sits there stuck on 'double depth', rather than single.

Unable to drag down to single; 'Lock the taskbar' is not selected.

???.......Any ideas?

Thanks.

BLUE SKY THINKER,

With the Task Bar unlocked move your Mouse over the top part of the task bar until you see the mouse cursor turn into an up/down arrow, then you can adjust your Task Bar. Once you are done, lock the Task Bar again.

Take Care,

Richard

Richard.....

That's the point, I can't resolve it in the conventional way; "unable to drag down to single". .....Which is my way of describing your procedure.

BLUE SKY THINKER,

Do you get the up/down arrows?

Richard

Richard.....

Yes. .....But then can't move it in the conventional way.

BLUE SKY THINKER,

Since you are getting the arrows, try and make the Task Bar larger and then smaller again. (Sometimes that will work on getting the Task Bar back to the size you want.)

Richard

Richard.....

Thanks for suggestions.

Suddenly realised toolbar separators over two depths required dragging into a single line/depth.

Prior to that, thought 'System Restore' seemed a good final resort; but fortunately avoided.
