Passing Through Raf Lyneham

Gentlemen,

I will be leaving the sands for a bit and returning CONUS via RAF Lyneham.

Rumor has it that there exists an airfield in relatively close proximity that will take one up in a two seat WW II fighter. True? If True could someone in the know post some helpful information.

Possibly, but negotiations are under way to hire any WW11 fighter.............................we have several targets for it! :E ;)

There was a guy with a 2 seat Mustang. I think it was based in North Weald, but that was ages ago. I couldn't say for sure now.,

Hmmm, although not WW2, Delta Jets have assorted Hunters and Jet Provost available for pax sorties. www.deltajets.co.uk

There is also Ultimate High www.ultimatehigh.co.uk that will give you a workout in their Extra 300 aerobatic machines. Dogfight anyone?


Both are based at Kemble, and are highly recommended.
