Why has a helipad popped up in Dyce? I mean Dyce NOT the airport. Do an early Left turn off 16 and it is in a car park in the industrial estate.

Very odd:confused:

If the BAA have the same approach to landing charges in Scotland as they do down south, this could be the answer.

Had to take company boss to Aberdeen last month but was put off landing at Dyce by handling charges!!
We were very well looked after at Culter Helipad but had to 'suffer' a long taxi ride.

Who is the contact for permission if its real??
or is it another 'joke' Helipad

again i bet its down to landing fees. If you can have your own pad then why not use it and save on landing fees.

heh heh, think I know the one you mean!

It has a yellow circle and a "puma" mock up fashioned out of a red transit van with a tail boom attatched.

It's used for HLO training.

Best check that before you try and land there..!!!

I may be blonde but not totally stupid!!!!

HLO training in a transit hey? Sounds fun.

The one I was looking at has dissapeared. I think that they were building a new deck for a boat or something. Anyway I was just being nosey but it's gone now so dillemma over.
