I know how to get my Quick Launch Taskbar back - BUT

Does anybody know why it keeps disappearing each time that I re-enter Windows XP Pro??

It's nice to have there for "Show Desktop"

And no it's not still hiding there (just begging to be unwrapped and just collapsed on itself)...............

Try running the windows update. There may have been a patch for this little annoying glitch!

Dagger Dirk,

How many User Accounts do you have in WinXP and what privileges do each have?

Just the one (with Administrator privileges)

Dagger Dirk,

Try booting up in Safe Mode. If the Quick Launch is not there, put it in. Then, reboot into Safe Mode again to see if the Quick Launch stays or not.

Quick Launch area stayed there on restart into Safe Mode but then, despite the task-bar being "locked" it disappeared on rebooting into "unsafe" mode (i.e. normal windows).

Must be a residual function of Tweakmaster or a similar program that I gave a thirty day try-out to (but which is now no longer resident).

Dagger Dirk,

That was my thoughts. You could try installing your tweaking program and then uninstall it again.

Take Care,
