Reg services charges to double in July

I have just been phoned by CASA Reg Services advising that, as of about the 14th July, all reg services fees (AOC applications etc) will almost double.

To use my case as an example, a single-aircraft flying school AOC will go from $3,350 to nearly $7,000!

In 1998 we paid $700 for a ME IFR charter AOC application.

What is the inflation rate, anyway?:* :yuk: :ouch:

Best you get in and pay it now then Bendo.

That and Airservices price hike.....I don't like the look of this. The Government has to spent $120 Million on fat kiddies, so the money has to come from somewhere I suppose. Yep $120 Mil buys you a lot of monkey bars for the school grounds.

Shame on you Bendo! After all, someone has to meet the cost of air fares and living away from home allowances for a CASA Reg Services employee who lives in Brisbane and has been commuting weekly to Canberra for years!

Good staff don’t come cheap – or from Canberra it seems! :yuk:
