Hi there,

I have an interview for BA Citiexpress in MAN this coming Thurs... Any interview hints or opinions on the company. I know it's a franchise airline and it's not a back door entry into BA EF or EG. Just want to know a bit about them...

Cheers in advance

Hottowel ;) ;)

Hi Hun,

I would ask a lot of Q's at the interview, my best friend got the job about 8 weeks ago and started her course 5 weeks ago - there were originally 10 on the course, 2 dropped out the first week and then 2 dropped out the 4th week - Not very good?
Anyway, she turned up on at MAN on the first day of the final week only to be told that they had cancelled the course and told her to go home back to LPL - What!! It's true, they said they could not continue the course with only 6 people - they have told her that the next course is not due to go ahead until November.

As you can imagine my friend was really upset, to get to the final week and then for them to just canx the course is not good practice she had also left a perm f/t job to go to BA - plus I hear they are calling people out most of the time as they are so short of crew, would it not have been better to allow the 6 to complete the course rather than none at all??

Anyway hun, go for the interview and good luck!!

If you wanna know anymore let me know.

Stux

thanks for the msg and the PM I recieved from the other guy. I am just going to go along tomorrow and be myself.

I am a bit nervous as it is a straight 2-1 interview with no group exercises to participate in. This would have given me a bit longer to get my personality across etc etc. But I am really looking forward to it.

Anyway I shall keep you posted

Cheers Hottowel:O

Hope it went well today

Main BA is recruiting so why not apply for them, BACX has a few managerial problems, it's never sure if it's it's own boss or part of 'Big BA' so it may be easier to just go straight to BA!

Well...

I will find out in a week or so. The interview went okay. I did my best. I answered all the questions giving specific examples like they asked.

But it's hard to know whether I did well. I came out of the interview spending much of the time thinking I should have said this, or explained myself better with that.... Nothing I can do but sit and wait for that letter/phone call....:uhoh:

It was a quick interview... I was in there for about 30mins..... the other girl who was there on the day was om about the same too..

Will let you all know Hottowel xxx:D

Hi Guys and Girls,

Just to let you know.... I had a letter this morning from BA Citiexpress! I am so happy, I have been offered a place in the holding pool for the next available training course.... It's all subject to satisfactory refs and medical, so I am not going to get too excited until I have passed the course..

I am really excited, as the last few months I have had some really s:mad: t luck, so a change of destiny is great!!!

So just got to sit tight and find out when I start!

Chat soon Hottowel :D :D :D

hi i worked for citiexpress last year after waiting a year for my training course to start.
good luck to you i only stayed 4 months because i hated it so much.
i have since moved to a better company where i am happy than i ever was there. the training course was hard because the trainers are very strict but i made great friends there. also standbys do not exist you dont get them on the roster and the you work loads and after all that the pay is rubbish.

i do hope you enjoy it. i think there is an airline out there for all of us. ba mainline is better paid though why dont you apply to them.

good luck anyway
