Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Where can I find in writting the rumours I hear about Check and Training Captains needing an instructor rating in the future and I suppose a certificate 4 as well.

Is this true?

Will this also mean guys with say 5000hrs plus who are already in these roles will need to do a full instructor rating (approx 5 weeks full time) including 50hrs of dual and mutual?

Any comments please.

Look up the CASA website at new Part 61 Licensing rules. And yes it does say that all C & T staff will require an instuctor rating.

look carefully at Part 61 because the requirements for the instructor rating have changed a lot - 50 hours etc is no longer and the Cert 4 requirement is only for specific modules.

in other words check well before you condemn.
