I'm 22 and have been flying the 737 in india for the past 2 years as FO.
i have total time 2000 hours of which 1700 on 737 3/4/7/800s.....

Q1) An honest opinion from someone who's working for CX, as to if i submit my CV, will they be interested for taking me as Second Officer? Or am i too young and overqualified at this moment.

Q2)I've also heard that they dont take Indians. Is it true?

Turk,

I know 9W guys with command time inline for the SO posistion for years now. There are Indians in CX but of UK or Canada origins.
Drop the idea push for the low cost guys in SIN or M.East.

Sorry I just couldn`t hide my amaze... you 22 and flying an
-800??!!!

Well done dude!

I just hopped into one in the way back home after a one-week trip to the US, and saluted both pilots when they let me get into the flight deck. The FO was 30 at least.

I still need to get my college degree before starting formally to train for THE job. I hope I`ll be 24 by then but even at that age I though it was kinda early!

Can you PM me with your career path... I mean how did you manage to become an airliner pilot at this age?

Thanks

In India guys with Air India start as FOs on A310 with basic CPL 250hrs. Its just supply and demand . BTW only Indian nationals are allowed to fly an Indian reg a/c.:ok:

I have to admit that I`m amazed by what you guys tell me. I had the idea that most airlines usually take beyond the 19 yearoldies, if that was the case I would have been taken two years ago!...

A question now about cx, silberfuchs you said you have cadets joining at 19?, but doesn`t cx require to hold a college degree for applicants, like SIA? Do these lads have it by that age?

Or "you just have to pass the interviews/sim ride!"
