I have read a number of posts indicating that guys had applied more than 3 times for pilots course. I have applied 3 times over a 10 year period and was unsuccessful.

I have recently applied again and have been told that it is 3 strikes and your out effectively. I am interested in Army Aviation, they (recruiting and serving pilots 171 sqn/162sqn) all tell me they are screaming for pilots (I am a qualified CPL H), right age and education requirements, good govt job etc, but they are not prepared to even consider another chance.

Has anyone else had experience with this situation.

Never heard of the 3 strikes rule.

Have sat as a specialist on boards (ATC) and while some people are given a "don't come back" score, others not quite there are usually told that you can come back again in 12 months time and try again.

Give it another go. Don't die wondering....................

And good luck!!! :ok: :ok: :ok: :ok: :ok:

Thanks SCRAN, it is reassuring to find out that there might be a way in! Maybe the recruiter had a bad day that day when I enquired!
