Lots of rumours hinting at Skymark, Air Do and ANA recruitment later this year.

Anyone got any info for a current JCAB licenced Captain looking for a commuting job out of Japan?

Thanks
:D

"Don`t trust them" - from other pilots and non-pilots, who are living in Japan.
Their track record for being dishonorable, wrt contracts, has set a new standard of dishonesty in Asia.
Even their own don`t trust their superiors, despite the bowing, scraping, and smiling.

Sounds like Skymark will be getting some additional aircraft in the near future. Route expansion mentioned and new slots opening up out of HND?

Are there any drivers from Skymark out there able to give some fellow Japanese contractors advice or details re the recruitment situation?

Any contacts would be most appreciated.

Thanks. ;)

Flt International reporting Skymark will take 2 737-800's next year for flights from Chubu and HND to Kobe once its finished.

Not sure who is doing the hiring for that. As for Air Do. One type - B767 and only 2 routes. Not too stimulating but rumours abound they will get one 737 next year.

Of course all positions will be on low pay "foreign wage deals". There will be no summer and winter bonus of 5 months salary if you are a foreigner! Wonder if that would fly in other countries with racially equal labour laws?

Quite sad for morale that most companies pay their local Japanese F/O's with no experience more than the typical 5000hr on type foreign captains. Same goes in Skynet, JEX etc.

Better to be Japanese in Japan fellas.

Good luck

:ok:

Air do has only 2 Boeing 767-300 flying SPK-HND was very close to going under but saved by ANA and now works with ANA code shairing.

But Skymark on the other side have 4 boeing 767-300 and a single B767-200 operating many domestic flight but looking at the international market and the openning up of HND forth runway next year.
