I hear that Ken Livingston would love a tax on all tourists flying into London Heathrow. The tax like the congestion charge would be intended to cut pollution and at a fiver a time this could raise £40 million per year.
He thinks that it could be used to fund transport links including to airports and could also be used to drop the price of the Heathrow Express down to tube levels. Seems like a bit of a contradiction myself.
He also says that it would also predominantly hit tourists and not business people amd as we tax motorists going to Exmouth we should tax people flying to Malaga.
The mans having a laugh isn't he !!!.
