What kind of inflight entertainment do BA's Airbus aircraft have and show?

I was recently on a LHR-MAN flight on an A320 and they flipped down the screens and showed the route on them.

I noticed that they didnt have a slot for headphones so i was wondering what kind of IFE and programmes they use on their longer Airbus European flights?

Some of their Airbus flights are over 4 hours!

News and movies on the IST and DME routes, moving map on everything else.

Only 10 of the 'new' A320's [EUUA-EUUJ] have in seat power and headphone sockets. Therefore only these have the capability of movies etc. These aircraft are targetted at the DME and IST routes for consistency. All the other IAE engined A319 and A320 have drop down screens for the safety video and map. I am not sure how the A321's will be configured when delivered later this year. The old CFM A320's have nothing.

This explains why there was no IFE on Saturday's LHR-DME flight (874). Good job I took my own DVD player.
