From the Calgary Herald, also running on CBC Newsworld:
The commander of the tactical fighter squadron in Cold Lake has been relieved of his command and is under military police investigation.
No details are being released about why Lieutenant-Colonel Shawn Byrne is being investigated.
Commander Jeff Agnew refused to divulge details of the allegations against the 41-year-old pilot but says if charges are laid, details will be released.
Agnew says Byrne was relieved of command because commanding officers have powers to administer military justice and that wouldn't be appropriate if the officer himself was under investigation.
